iPLAY isn’t just an app – it’s how West Virginia players stay in control

When people think about playing the lottery online, convenience tends to be the main draw. Buy your tickets from home, check your results, done. But for West Virginia players, iPLAY does more than that. It’s the only platform that gives you hands-on control over how, when, and how much you play – and that’s worth understanding before you decide how to get started.

Whether you’re new to the West Virginia Lottery or you’re a regular who hasn’t made the switch yet, the tools available through iPLAY go well beyond basic ticket purchasing. For anyone who wants to play the lottery online in West Virginia, here’s what the platform actually offers.

Your budget, your rules

One of the most practical features on iPLAY is player-controlled deposit limits. You set a cap on how much you deposit into your account, and the platform holds to it.

Self-exclusion is also available through the platform for anyone who needs to take a break from play. Both features sit within your account settings and are there when you want them.

Automation that works around you

iPLAY has two subscription-based features that take the admin out of regular play.

Auto-Renewal lets you set up automatic ticket purchases for your chosen draw game. Once it’s enabled, your numbers go in for every draw without requiring you to log in each time. It’s available for POWERBALL©, MEGA MILLIONS®, LOTTO AMERICA©, Millionaire for Lifeâ„¢, and Cash25.

Jackpot Chase, also known as Jackpot Threshold Auto Renewal, works differently. Instead of entering every draw, you set a jackpot threshold. When the jackpot for a supported game hits that amount, a ticket is automatically purchased on your behalf. It’s available for POWERBALL©, MEGA MILLIONS®, and LOTTO AMERICA©. You define the number, the platform does the rest.

Both features can be managed or cancelled through your account at any time.

What you can play

Through iPLAY, you can purchase draw game tickets for all the major games – POWERBALL©, MEGA MILLIONS®, LOTTO AMERICA©, Daily 3, Daily 4, Millionaire for Lifeâ„¢, and Cash25. You can also play iNSTANTS, the West Virginia Lottery’s digital instant games, which are only available online.

Scratch-offs work differently. You can’t purchase or play them through iPLAY, but you can scan physical scratch-off tickets using the app to check results and submit eligible tickets for PlayON points or Second Chance promotions.

Payment and account access

iPLAY accepts several payment methods, including credit/debit card, ACH, and PayPal. iOS users can download the app through the App Store; Android users can download it directly from the West Virginia Lottery website.

To play, you need to be 18 or older and physically located within West Virginia state lines. Online play contributes to the same beneficiary programs as in-store play – education, senior services, tourism, and state parks – so every ticket counts, regardless of how you buy it.

Results and notifications

Once you’re signed in, your account dashboard shows upcoming draws, past results, and any prizes credited to your account. Notifications alert you to outcomes automatically.

For players who want to stay organized and in control of their play, that’s a decent amount to work with – all in one place through iPLAY.
