Get Ready for this Year’s Hamptons Interactive Brunch

For one of the hottest yet most laidback Hamptons events this summer which includes a VIP guest list, luxe goodies and great food, Hamptons Interactive Brunch will be back August 5th and you won’t want to miss it! We spoke with East End Taste founder Vanessa Gordon who gives us the scoop on her event – and don’t forget to say hi as PARK is an official media sponsor!

When and why did you start the Hamptons Interactive Brunch?

I started the Hamptons Interactive Brunch in the spring of 2018 as an opportunity to create an experience that brings some of my favorite brands and businesses together for a fun, relaxing afternoon with a strong emphasis on the food. Oftentimes we find at events that the focus is on the cocktails or ambiance. Of course, those are elements that are very important to me, but at the time I had always wanted to throw an event in the Hamptons where the focus or centerpiece was on the food and its presentation. The Hamptons Interactive Brunch has evolved from its early years as a walk-through event with different brand activations to a sit-down full course brunch, along with brand activations and interactive elements throughout where guests can engage with brands in person. The brunch was founded in partnership with my event production team, Sean Koski and Brian Kelly of Ticket2Events.

What VIPs are you expecting this year?

We always like to keep our guest list a complete surprise for everyone! Some of our previous VIP attendees have included LeeAnne Locken, Jeff Perla, Eric Goldie, Meredith O’Connor, Barbara Kavovit, Kara Alloway, and Jill Zarin, and many are expected to attend again this year.

How did the event become such a hit on the Hamptons social scene?

Can you believe the Brunch is celebrating its 4th year this year?! It is a combination of creating that wow-factor for attendees year after year all while being so approachable throughout the planning process. For me it is always so important to incorporate local businesses and talent into the event. One example is having beloved local East Hampton couple Amy Zerner and Monte Farber at the event doing tarot card readings, book signings, and hosting a jewelry and fashion trunk show. Another is having The Shared Space Sisters, who are based in Montauk, do a meditative and healing experience at the brunch while also gifting attendees with cute satchels filled with an aromatherapy routine kit.

How did you choose Baron’s Cove in Sag Harbor as the space?

It’s funny I have been a customer and friend to the property for nearly three decades. I have been so amazed by the resort’s transformation and love what Cape Resorts has done. I also regularly bring friends and family for lunch and dinner there and we always love to sit on the outside patio opposite the pool. The location in Sag Harbor along the bay overlooking the yachts and boats is so beautiful and peaceful; I love sharing this escape that I enjoy with others.

I went last year and remember the fun goodies, amazing food and celeb guests – what can you tell us about the expected brands and any fun surprises?

We are so excited about several new elements at the brunch this year, including but not limited to a ‘Best of Baron’s Cove’ brunch menu paired with spritz cocktails by Jennifer Lopez’ Delola. The bottles themselves are so gorgeous, I have them displayed on my kitchen counter at home! And since I travel all around the world every six to eight weeks on average, I am so excited to showcase my new favorite women-owned suitcase brand, Royce & Rocket. My favorite suitcase is the Black/Cloud Pink!

Our benefiting charity this year is Victory 4 The Voiceless (V4V) based on Staten Island whose mission is to be proactive with trap, neuter, release (TNR) for feral cats. We highly encourage attendees to make a direct donation to them to help support their cause.
