Emanuel Friedman Opens His Lux Contemporary Gallery in the Rolls Royce Showroom

WE HEAR…that Chelsea art gallerist sensation Emanuel Friedman debuted his Lux Contemporary Gallery in the Rolls Royce

Showroom on Eleventh Avenue last weekend with opening night sales in the high six figures. “There were a lot of little red dots, especially by the King Saladeen works – sold!” Says the GenZ gallerist who calls himself an “Artrepeneur.” Friedman has given up tenure as the North American art representative to the iconic Russian/Georgian artist- Zurab Tseretelli. To open his own free-standing gallery in tandem with Brian Miller – the legendary Hyper Car/ Rolls Royce dealer & owner of Manhattan Motor Cars since 1996.  And who is famous for saying – “I sold Jay-Z his first Bentley way back when he was filling her up at the gaseteria.”
King Saladeen, the buzzy West Philly street artist of the moment, is known for his gritty urban flair and commercial deals with the NFL and Nike, whose large original canvases start at $55k. “We are all about art as a tangible asset at Lux Contemporary, and this is a masterpiece curation of tangible assets,” he says with a wave of the hand around the flashy showroom and gallery with works from the likes of Kaws, Banksy,” and the next mega-art star” he says of artist Jonty Hurwitz. He is a British/South African artist lauded for his scientifically innovative artwork and anamorphic sculptures. “This is about connecting The Collectors: Art collectors, Car collectors and even Watch collectors, because at the end of the day, they all have the same thing in common- art as an investment and acquired asset with a guaranteed return on investment.”
