Real Estate Royalty and Philanthropist Kimberlie Glaser Shares Her Secrets to Mastering the Deal and Enjoying A Laidback Lifestyle
By Julie Sagoskin
Always filled with determination, it was just a matter of time until the now successful real estate entrepreneur and philanthropist Kimberlie Glaser reached her dream-filled destination. Since the time she was 14 years old growing up in Indiana, Kimberlie worked everywhere from McDonald’s to plant nurseries, and was even a nurse in the hospital until making her real estate goals a reality. This lifelong ambitious drive is what led to her being called “Tony the Tiger.”
She also hints at what might just be her secret to success. Even while watching her business continue to expand and explode, she takes pride in her “very small, close-knit team.”
“We’re like a family. We’re very hands on with everything, down to the snow plowing.”
No matter how many deals she makes or how much she achieves, Kimberlie always stays true to her philosophy: “I’m always striving to become bigger.” Even during setbacks including the COVID-19 virus and inflation, this titan has always found ways to end up on top. She also continues to be optimistic about the real estate market in general.
“Things are starting to pick up. I’ve always felt like nothing ventured, nothing gained. I always take a risk, I’m a real risk taker.”
Kimberlie, who has helmed business from casinos to salt and granite mines, is also very keen on Florida’s real estate landscape, which she believes continues to be a real “hotspot.”
She might be busy, but this glamorous and go-getting powerhouse wouldn’t have it any other way. “I hate the holidays and weekends,” she explained. “I love working and am always looking for my next deal. Wherever I go, whether it’s on business or anywhere, I’m always scoping areas everywhere.”
She also has words of wisdom for other hardworking individuals who are just starting out or at any stage of their careers. “Whatever you love or are passionate about, keep trying. Eventually it will come your way, just take one day at a time and something will break.”
“Nothing is easy, I can be working on 25 deals and only one will come to fruition. It’s all hard work but it’s worth it in the long run. Nothing comes without its challenges – everything is a compromise.”
Aside from the Sunshine State’s high-stakes real estate game, her outdoorsy side appreciates the laidback lifestyle she is able to enjoy.
“I love nature and the water – the ocean, swimming, jet skiing, boating, fishing. I also love bicycling and hunting, laying out in the sun, and Florida affords an easier life. It’s a different world and I feel very lucky to live here, especially because of the weather.”
This boss babe and fashionista, whose favorite designer is Valentino, might enjoy the high-end shopping of Bal Harbour, but she also admits to appreciating a good bargain, especially at famed outlet center Sawgrass Mills. Meanwhile, when she’s at home in the New York suburbs, she makes sure to indulge in her favorite Italian restaurants.
Perhaps the only thing she enjoys more than the art of the deal is giving back. “I love and support anything that involves children, such as St. Jude, as well as Big Dog Ranch Rescue for animals and furry friends, and the Boys and Girls Club. “I give back about ten percent of my income every year.”
She is also heavily involved with Victoria’s Voice, an organization founded by Jackie Siegel, aka the Queen of Versailles, after her daughter passed away due to an overdose. Their goal is to help other young people struggling with addiction. Another organization close to her heart is Ashley Brown’s Selfless Love Foundation, which aims to help others start a family.
Her biggest role models are Tesla founder Elon Musk and most importantly, those she thinks should be viewed as our biggest heroes – single mothers who are raising children on their own, just as her own mother was.
