NEW YORK COMEDY FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES MORE THAN 100 ADDITIONAL SHOWS TO 2022 LINE-UP

The New York Comedy Festival (NYCF) announced the addition of more than 100 shows to its 2022 line-up, including Thots & Prayers on November 9 at The Stonewall Inn, 2Nite with The Chonga Girls on November 10 at Chelsea Music Hall, Comics to Watch on November 10 at Carolines on Broadway, Girl God on November 10 at The Bell House, Jordan Jensen Does an Hour at The Tiny Cupboard on November 11 at The Tiny Cupboard, And Then We Had Sex Podcast: The Live Experience on November 11 at The Venue at the Hard Rock Hotel, Chad Daniels on November 10 and 11 at Gotham Comedy Club, London Hughes: To Catch A Bouquet on November 11 at Union Hall, Petting Zoo on November 11 at Cloud City, Brunch Queen Carlisle Forrester on November 12 at The Stand, Alex English on November 13 at Chelsea Music Hall, Inside The Comic’s Studio with Hannah Pikes: A Talkback on November 13 at Union Hall, and many more. Returning this year is the 14th annual New York’s Funniest Stand-Up, which will take place on November 11 at The Venue at the Hard Rock Hotel New York, the official hotel of the NYCF. The competition is open to any and all performers who think they have what it takes to be crowned New York’s Funniest. Past winners include 2021 winner Jordan Jensen, Emmy nominee David Angelo,Saturday Night Live star Michael Che, former The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore correspondent Ricky Velez, Last Comic Standing’s Joe Machi, Matt Pavich and Tim Dillon, among others.

“I’ve always been passionate about spotting up-and-coming talent and finding the headliners of tomorrow. It’s one of the most exciting things to watch a comedian grow their artistry and become a big star,” said Caroline Hirsch, Founder and Owner of the New York Comedy Festival and Carolines on Broadway. “We also want to continue supporting our smaller venue partners throughout the boroughs, which all make up the fabric of New York City’s rich cultural landscape.”

The newly announced shows will take place among the previously announced shows with Mo Amer, Shane Gillis, Jo Koy, Bill Maher, Tracy Morgan, Nurse Blake, Conan O’Brien, John Mulaney, Ms. Pat, JB Smoove, Jenny Slate, Wanda Sykes, Jimmy O. Yang, Bassem Youssef, and the 16th annual Stand Up for Heroes that will span across New York City, and for the first time ever, Long Island.
