Jars and Java Merges with Paeonia Tattoos in Florida for the Most Tantalizing Coffee Shop Around

At South Florida’s soon-to-open coffee shop Jars and Java, you can get more than just a side of almond milk – that’s because they will also be serving up tattoos.

Launching this fall, the Upper Buena Vista spot is set to take the neighborhood by storm with its unique concept which merges a coffee spot with a subsidiary store of Paeonia Tattoos. Just head through the backdoor after ordering a delicious cappuccino to get your own trendy tattoo.

The idea behind this revolutionary project started when Camila Posada recognized the expanding and ever-changing neighborhood was becoming a hot commodity and decided to become a part of it by purchasing property and starting a business in the area. Reminiscent of the beginning days of the rebirth of Wynwood, Upper Buena Vista is now finding itself to be the epicenter of new commerce. In addition to still being more affordable compared to other nearby neighborhoods, Posada is now attracting the likes of Brooklyn expats as well as young families who have been outpriced of Miami.

With delightful décor bursting with color and sparks of creativity all around, Jars and Java will serve as the perfect setting for those working remotely, as well as those looking for a new go-to coffee spot this season and beyond.

Behind this fun and flavorful new coffee shop is Paeonia Tattoos. Posada’s partner in both business and life is superstar tattoo artist Boris Bianchi, who has long been sought after for his incredible inking talents in the community. This Upper Buena Vista hot spot is also a place for artists looking for an alternative to the over-crowded scene in Miami’s Wynwood area.

Customers at Jars and Java will enjoy a menu of curated Columbian coffee drinks and delectable salads served in beautiful glass mason jars, all while having the opportunity to book an appointment for a bespoke tattoo.

This dynamic duo is dedicating to offering their clientele an edgy and more personalized experience than what you would find at an ordinary coffee spot. Posada reflects on how she is proud to bring her Columbian roots to the region which is reflective of a melting pot of cultures.

“We have an eclectic background,” she says. “What we are putting together is different, and long overdue. I have opened other businesses before, and Bianchi has also been involved with other tattoo shops. What we are creating now, is a concept that we believe people will truly love and will want to keep coming back to due to its unique nature. It represents all those things that people want that are a divergence from the old-school mainstream. We are all about amazing Columbian coffee and giving people a way to discover art. We are excited for the future of this shop and know in our hearts it will be a real success. After all, our own hearts are all the way in it.”
