Heritage Cruises Binh Chuan: A Honeymoon Journey Through Lan Ha Bay

Lan Ha Bay had always been on our wishlist, but nothing could have prepared us for the unforgettable honeymoon we experienced aboard the Heritage Cruise Binh Chuan. This was not just a luxurious getaway; it was a romantic voyage through history, art, and the serene beauty of the bay.

Surrounded by culture and cared for with heartfelt service, we felt more like cherished guests than travelers. Every detail was meaningful, and every moment was crafted with love.

Price & Booking

We booked the cruise through besthalongcruises.com, and the experience was effortless. Their team answered all our questions, helped us select the most suitable suite, and arranged a few romantic extras for our honeymoon. While Heritage Cruise Binh Chuan is a premium choice, we found the value well worth the price, which is $374/person for 3 days and 2 nights, given the level of service, design, and unique experiences.

First Impression

The moment we arrived at the Heritage Lounge at 28B Tuan Chau Marina, everything felt smooth and well-arranged. A refreshing welcome drink and sincere smiles from the staff set the tone for the journey. Our short transfer to the cruise ship by speedboat gave us a cinematic glimpse of the bay, and the first look at the vessel itself left us stunned.

The ship’s design is an elegant tribute to the Indochine era, blending classic French architecture with Vietnamese soul. Our first thought? This is not just a cruise; it is a floating art museum.

Cabins & Amenities

We stayed in a Delta Suite, and it truly lived up to its name. The floor-to-ceiling windows opened onto a private balcony with uninterrupted views of Lan Ha Bay. A freestanding bathtub positioned right by the glass wall created a dreamy experience we will never forget. Inside, the room was adorned with Vietnamese paintings and organic bath products, and even a Bluetooth speaker was thoughtfully included.

Onboard, we loved spending time in the rooftop pool, browsing rare books in the library, admiring artwork in the gallery, and relaxing with cocktails in the cozy lounges.

Cuisine & Dining Experience

The food onboard was one of the trip’s highlights. Breakfast on the deck started each day with fresh tropical fruits, pastries, and rich Vietnamese coffee, while dinners at Le Tonkin restaurant felt like fine dining at a five-star venue. We were especially impressed by how well the menu balanced traditional Vietnamese flavors with international touches.

The standout for us was the Vietnamese royal dinner, accompanied by live traditional music; it felt intimate and cultural at the same time.

Every meal was presented beautifully and served by attentive staff who remembered our preferences. This level of care made each bite more special.

Activities & Itinerary Highlights

Our itinerary was full but never overwhelming, perfect for a relaxing Lan Ha Bay cruise. We kayaked through Tra Bau, swam in the emerald waters of Ba Trai Dao, and explored the serene paths of Viet Hai Village by bicycle. A bamboo boat ride through the Dark & Bright Cave offered quiet moments to soak in nature.

Onboard, we joined a Vietnamese cooking class, practiced Vovinam at sunrise, and tried night squid fishing under the stars. Every activity added depth to the journey, making us feel both relaxed and enriched.

Staff & Services

What truly made this cruise memorable was the team on board. Anthony, one of the ship assistants, felt more like a personal concierge, always attentive but never intrusive. When I unexpectedly caught a light fever, the crew checked on me frequently, offering medicine and warm tea. On our final night, they surprised us with a private honeymoon setup on the sundeck, complete with roses and soft music. It was one of the most heartfelt gestures we have ever received while traveling.

Final Thoughts

Our time on Heritage Cruises Binh Chuan was more than a holiday; it was a chapter in our love story. The elegant design, warm hospitality, and deep cultural immersion made it the perfect choice for our honeymoon. Whether you are celebrating a special occasion or simply wish to explore Vietnam from a fresh perspective, this cruise will exceed your expectations.

Tips & Recommendations

Try to book early, especially if you are traveling during peak seasons from March to May or September to November, to secure the best cabin. If you can, choose the Regal Suite; the panoramic views and bay-view bathtub are unforgettable. Bring sunscreen, light clothing, and insect repellent for the excursions. Make sure to wake up early at least once for the sunrise Vovinam class; it is both peaceful and empowering. Lastly, slow down and take in the scenery. Some of our most cherished moments were simply spent on the deck, doing nothing at all.

Heritage Cruise Binh Chuan gave us everything we could have dreamed of for our honeymoon: beauty, culture, comfort, and care. If you are planning a trip to Halong or Lan Ha Bay and want something truly meaningful, find the best cruise here.
