When car enthusiasts want something novel, they can invest in recreations of officially licensed vintage race cars, including Aston Martin, Bentley, Bugatti, and Ferrari from Hedley Studios, the only company handcrafting precision scale and drivable examples of the world’s most iconic cars. Formerly The Little Car Company, Hedley Studios offers collectible and rare automobiles that are also works of art – and don’t let their size fool you. All vehicles they describe as “transcending traditional boundaries” are fully drivable, powered by a zero-emission electric propulsion systems.

The visionary behind the brand, Ben Hedley, originally set out to create an automobile company that combines art with luxury collectibles. All Hedley Studios exclusive vehicles are hand-built in their UK HQ, and embrace the legacy of each brand and the unique partnerships Ben Hedley has created with them. Ben Hedley, is a successful entrepreneur with a background in the automotive industry. His passion for cars was sparked as a child upon being gifted a model Porsche 911 by his uncle, which then inspired him to spend his youth flipping through the pages of Autocar magazine. Between 2010 and 2017, Ben Hedley was a member of Great Britain’s Ski Team, competing as a speed skier at the highest international levels. Having purchased his first set of skis on ebay, Hedley rapidly rose through the ranks of international speed skiing, working his way into the top ten worldwide. After a long stint as a retail consultant, Hedley became an entrepreneur, launching a number of successful start-ups, while also gaining valuable experience importing mini-replica cars. With engineering degrees from Cambridge University, Hedley honed his skills in design and engineering, which he put to good use when commissioned by Bugatti to build the first ever Hedley Studios product, the Bugatti Baby II.
The driving force of the company – no pun intended – has been to develop a pinnacle of art in motion.
After introducing the Hamptons to some of their most iconic models in Sag Harbor in the summer of 2024, Hedley Studios debuted another experiential pop-up, this time at a new gallery space, this past winter at Manhattan’s Hudson Yards. The compact vintage automobiles showed off what they’re made of on a custom-built track on the Public Square and Gardens set against sweeping views of New York City’s iconic vessel.

Hedley showcased four of their most coveted pieces of art during the pop-up – each car was based on an iconic vintage vehicle, reborn with modern innovations, making them highly coveted collectibles.
The four of their most coveted pieces, each one meticulously signed, numbered, and produced in extremely limited numbers, including:
● The Aston Martin DB5 J – a 66% scale of the original Aston Martin DB5 commemorates the 1963 cabriolet of James Bond fame. The original piece is considered one of the most iconic and beautiful models in automotive history.
● The Ferrari Testa Rossa J – built in exclusive partnership with Ferrari Classiche, this piece is a 75% scale of the extremely rare 1957 pontoon-fendered Ferrari Testa Rossa. Only 299 of these pieces will be created globally, with each one is numbered and signed by the artisans who created them
● The Bugatti Baby II – a 75% scale, fully electric Bugatti Type 35, developed using a full 3D scan of an original 1924 French Grand Prix car. The Bugatti Baby II has been impeccably hand-built and is adorned with a genuine solid silver Bugatti Macaron. Like the original, the Bugatti Baby II is a strictly limited edition.
● The Bentley Blower Jnr – an 85% scale recreation of the 1929 4½-litre Supercharged Team Car No.2, one of the most legendary in Bentley’s storied history.
