Sydnie Christmas: The British Breakout Star Returns to America
By Christine Montanti
Since capturing the attention of audiences with her inspirational performances and an incredible feat on Britain’s Got Talent in 2024, British singer Sydnie Christmas has embarked on a rapid-fire journey that has taken her from television talent-show stages to London’s West End, sold-out concert halls, and to some of America’s most prestigious venues. Currently, the remarkable artist is preparing to return to the United States with brand new music.
Christmas will make a series of U.S. appearances this August as she gears up to launch the release of her highly anticipated new album, due out this fall on Westway Music. The mini-tour will bring her to Philadelphia, New York, and an appearance at David Foster’s Foundation 40th Anniversary Gala and Concert. This U.S. tour begins August 15th at City Winery Philadelphia, followed by a return to Sony Hall in New York on August 16th, and then, a performance at the Center for the Arts in Homer, N.Y. on August 17th.
These upcoming United States shows are a chance for the Britain’s Got Talent winner to reconnect with devoted listeners and concert-goers who have followed her inspiring journey., “I’ve missed the live shows so much while I’ve been busy writing my new album, and I’ve been craving that connection with my audience. I love my American fans so much,” the British singer confesses.
The connection has become an integral part of the relationship with American fans. After making her United States debut at the Hollywood Bowl during David Foster’s 75th birthday celebration, the singer went on to headline two sold-out shows at New York’s Sony Hall. She expresses to fans, “The endless support you give me fills my heart and makes me believe, “I can actually do this.”

Christmas’s new album will be her first collection of original material. While the singer is retaining huge vocals that have become her trademark, the project represents an opportunity to establish her identity beyond the songs and performances that first made her famous. Two singles have already offered a preview of what is ahead: “Lean on You” and “Run,” both of which have received a passionate response from fans in the U.K. and U.S.
Adding to the momentum will be Sydnie Christmas: Live in London, a PBS concert special that was filmed during her sold-out performance at London’s Adelphi Theatre in 2025. The special is scheduled to begin airing across the United States in October, bringing Christmas’s live-show energy into American homes ahead of her planned U.S. tour in spring 2027.
The diversified artist has been proving she is far more than just a powerhouse behind the mic. To add to her range as a performer, she has also made her West End acting debut as the infamous Cruella De Vil in 101 Dalmatians, earning strong reviews for her performance. Later, the actress starred in the West End premiere of From the Heart, a musical revue written by Oscar-winning lyricist Don Black, where her vocal power once again became a significant part of the production. In addition, Christmas has performed for the King and Queen at London’s Royal Albert Hall and returned to America to join David Foster’s Hollywood Bowl celebration, making it clear that big stages are very much her territory. The U.K. native has also appeared in segments for This Morning and The One Show, and in 2025, she received the Variety Club Showbusiness Award for Outstanding New ITV Talent.
Needless to say, it’s not surprising that critics have dubbed Christmas’s voice a full-on “wrecking ball,” as clearly, her creative talent and appeal go way beyond sheer vocal force. Onstage, the singer can shift from gut-wrenching ballads to playful, magnetic moments without missing a beat, keeping audiences captivated. She’s definitely not taking that connection for granted: “I can’t wait to give back the love you’ve shown me in the only way I know how: through song. America, I’m counting down the days until I see you all again. You are the reason I’m here, and I will be forever grateful.”
